First of all, do you have any idea how many people are alive today? You could have to go through a million of them before you could find "the one." You know how much time that would take? Probably more than you have.
I have to wonder how many perfectly good relationships were ruined because one party decided "it wasn't meant to be." How do you even decide who your soul mate is? How much fighting means it isn't meant to be? Any at all? A little? Constantly? How long does it take to decide if she's the one? Weeks? Months? As soon as you see her?
Here's something that will rain on your romantic parade. How many romantic partners would you get along with well enough to spend the rest of your life with? The number probably isn't huge, but it certainly isn't limited to just one person you might not even meet.
So maybe it's not your love is the only one for you. It's that they made it worth it to stop looking.
