- I've heard a few people comment on Dracula's homoerotic treatment of Jonathan. Hmm, that interpretation actually makes some sense. After all, vampires are meant to represent forbidden sexuality (in this story alone, they deal with rape, adultery, and polygamy). But I think in the end, it's better this wasn't blatantly explored because, as mentioned, there are already a lot of different sexual issues brought up.
- Speaking of forbidden sexuality, if two of the Brides are indeed Dracula's daughters, is there some kind of incest going on as well?
- Van Helsing would make an interesting villain.
