Late Night Work

How often do you work on things late at night? And how weird do they tend to be? If I'm stressed out, my work often ends up sounding somewhat disturbed. I also tend to surf the internet after everyone else has gone to bed.

L also stands for "last minute", typically not a good time to finish things, and especially not to start them. And I am horribly good at procrastinating.

I seldom work on anything after night fall. I try to spend that time relaxing.

Late night is the only time to get things done, lol. Once every one is asleep I can finally have time to myself. I sit down to write, blog,or read, during the day and someone calls my name, the phone rings, one of my furry friends needs exercise...its always something. But at night there is solitude.

There are times when I'll be sitting at the computer, look at the clock and see that it's midnight, and think "It's time for bed," then it's almost 2 AM before I actually go. I don't fall asleep, I'm sitting there mindlessly flipping through screens on the web. I have to stop doing that...

My husband and I are both guilty. Then complain the next day how we need more sleep lol

I seem to always get my second wind late at night. I've done some of my best writing then. In fact I've been known to sneak out of bed when inspiration hits me in the middle of the night and I simply have to go write.

Night time is usually when I finally get going.

@ Idea-ist
That's one of the main reasons I stay up so late.

@ John Holton
Definitely guilty of that.

@ Stephanie Finnell
I have a bad habit of not going to bed early when I need to wake up early.

@ A Joyful Chaos
Some of the best ideas come when I'm half-asleep. :)

Well the minute I get done posting this comment I will be starting work...so I guess I do late night stuff. Whether it is good or not...that is another thing entirely. Some nights it is great and some nights, well..sleep would have been a better choice. What kind of night will this be?

For me, it usually depends on whether there's anything I need to get done.

I wish I could work at night, but by the time my kids go to bed around 9:00-9:30 my brain is too fried to write anything very intelligent. It's kind of annoying.

Fried brain sure ain't fun.
