Sad News

Earlier today, our dog Poochie died.

I don't think I'll have much to say for the rest of the week.

I am so sorry. Dogs are so good at worming their way into our hearts that when they go they leave a giant hole behind. I hope the sharpness of your loss dulls soon and you are able to remember the happy times without crying (much). Truth is, the pain never completely goes away. I started blogging because I had a hard time dealing with the death of a dog. It's been 3 years and I still Miss him. Fortunately, the blog isn't as morose as it used to be. There's a lot of us dog lovers on the blogosphere. Just know we're sending you happy thoughts, and we are here if you need a virtual shoulder to cry on. We'll be waiting when you're ready to blog again.

Hugs and prayers. Dogs are so much more than pets. My old girl is 15 and I already feel a little sad. She's half blind, totally deaf. Anyhow, it hurts. If only humans loved like a dog does, the world would be a better place.

Yeah. It wasn't as though she was young and healthy, but it hurt pretty bad to lose her.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Losing dear ones, whether human or animal, is always so sad. I'm glad you have your new dog to give you comfort.
